Robert Half Payroll Administrator in Reading, Pennsylvania
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will manage and oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing for all employees. You will collaborate with HR and Finance teams to maintain compliance with payroll regulations and provide support for employee payroll inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Process weekly and biweekly payroll, including uploading pay files and managing large-scale employee changes.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and conduct reconciliations and audits to ensure compliance.
• Respond to employee and HR partner inquiries regarding payroll and timekeeping concerns.
• Maintain and update payroll systems, ensuring data accuracy across multiple platforms.
• Generate and analyze payroll and compliance reports to support audits and organizational needs.
• Stay informed about federal, state, and local payroll laws to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Assist with tasks related to wage garnishments and year-end processing, including W-2 preparation.
• Document payroll processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Perform additional payroll-related duties as assigned to support the team. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a minimum of 5 years of payroll experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing.
• Familiarity with payroll and timekeeping systems such as ADP, SAP, or UKG Pro.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, including taxes, garnishments, and wage laws.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud-based payroll applications is preferred.
