Job Title: Panel Assembly

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in the Panel Shop, assembling railroad tracks. This is a 1st shift position from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, ideal for someone with experience in construction, foundry, or steel industries. The role requires teamwork and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble railroad tracks efficiently and accurately.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and measurements to 1/32 inch.

  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.

  • Maintain a safety-conscious work environment, ensuring awareness of large moving pieces of steel and railway lines.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read blueprints and measurements accurately.

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with assembly and production.

  • Experience in machine operating, fabrication, or construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding experience is advantageous.

  • Experience working in labor-intensive environments.

Work Environment

This position is based in an open-air warehouse where you will be exposed to the elements, reflecting the outdoor weather conditions. The environment can be cold in winter and hot in summer, requiring physical endurance. Safety is a priority; steel-toed boots with metatarsal covers are mandatory, and jewelry should be avoided due to machinery operation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
