Job Title: CNC Operator Job Description
As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for preparing the machine to start the production cycle and loading and unloading raw materials. You will conduct visual and dimensional inspections according to company standards, keep records of conforming and nonconforming products, and ensure machinery functionality through regular maintenance checks. Troubleshooting any issues during your shift will be essential.
Responsibilities
Prepare machine to start production cycle.
Load and unload raw material onto the machine.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection in accordance with company standards.
Keep records of conforming and nonconforming products.
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Troubleshoot issues that might occur during the shift.
Essential Skills
Experience with CNC setup and some programming, including editing programs.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Versatile machining skills with both CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.
Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Teamwork and communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
Understanding of production procedures.
Adherence to health and safety regulations, including constant use of protective gear.

Work Environment
You will work in a plastics machine shop on the 2nd shift, with hours from 2:30 pm to 12:15 am, totaling approximately 45 hours per week. The shop is equipped with advanced machinery from brands like HAAS, Citizens, Makino, and Micro Dynamics, offering a dynamic and technically rich work experience.

This is a Contract position based out of READING, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
