Job Title: Assembler I & II
Job Description
This entry-level Assembler role offers the opportunity to learn and perform basic to intermediate assembly tasks in a clean manufacturing environment. You will work with mechanical and electrical components, follow detailed assembly procedures, and use hand and power tools to build products according to drawings and schematics. The position requires consistent attention to safety, quality, and productivity while working both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Learn and apply basic assembly skills and techniques commonly used in the manufacturing industry.
Follow detailed, step-by-step assembly procedures to build products accurately and efficiently.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics, or actively learn to do so with guidance.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
Perform wiring and panel building tasks, including control panel assembly and panel wiring, as assigned.
Operate a computer and use touchscreen interfaces to follow work instructions, record data, or access production information.
Adhere to all company safety standards, policies, and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
Wear required personal protective clothing and maintain a safe and orderly work area.
Meet established production expectations while maintaining quality and accuracy in all work.
Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
Follow company policies and procedures consistently in daily work.
Demonstrate punctuality and reliable attendance to support production schedules.
Work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing as a team player.
Perform work in an ethical and conscientious manner, paying close attention to detail.
Push carts and storage racks and handle materials as needed to support the assembly process.
Lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally in the course of daily tasks.
Sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach as required to complete assembly and related duties.
Essential Skills
Manufacturing experience in a production or assembly environment.
Mechanical skill set or experience as an electrical helper.
Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
Assembly experience, including following step-by-step procedures.
Ability to read or learn to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
Computer experience, including the ability to operate a computer and use touchscreen interfaces.
Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Ability to work on a computer in English.
Strong punctuality and reliable attendance.
Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
Ethical, conscientious approach to work with strong attention to detail.
Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push carts and storage racks, lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with wiring and electrical wiring tasks.
Experience in panel building, including control panel assembly and panel wiring.
Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing setting.
Bi-lingual communication skills.

Work Environment
The role is based in a very clean manufacturing environment with work performed primarily at a seated workstation. You will regularly use a computer and touchscreen interfaces to complete tasks and access work instructions. The position involves routine movement such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching, as well as pushing carts and storage racks and lifting materials as needed. Personal protective clothing is required and provided in line with safety standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Reading, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
