PDS Tech Commercial Laborer in Rayville, Louisiana

Location: Rayville, LA | Payrate: $20 - $23 | Schedule: 6am to 5pm

Per diem eligible for those over 125 miles away form job site

$130 a day

About the Role & Your Impact

As a Laborer, you’ll play a key supporting role on active construction sites, assisting skilled tradespeople and helping ensure projects move forward safely and efficiently. Your work directly contributes to building and maintaining essential infrastructure while gaining hands-on experience across multiple trades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel using hand tools such as picks and shovels

  • Lift, carry, and position building materials, tools, and supplies

  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas

  • Assist skilled workers including pipelayers, carpenters, welders, and equipment operators

  • Operate pneumatic and electric tools, including jackhammers, compactors, and concrete saws

  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel, and related materials

  • Support underground pipe installation by joining, sealing, and bedding pipe sections

  • Perform tasks such as sandblasting, trenching, grade setting, and form setting/removal

  • Follow all job site safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with construction tools and basic job site practices

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work and remain on your feet throughout the day

  • Must have personal tools: tape measure, hammer, tool belt, and lineman pliers

  • Ability to understand and carry out assigned tasks effectively

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed

  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work with diverse crews

  • Commitment to following safety policies, procedures, and company standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10-Hour certification

  • Ability to obtain Fall Protection Certification

  • Previous experience in construction or general labor roles

Work Environment

This is a physically active, outdoor role performed on construction sites. You’ll be exposed to varying weather conditions, equipment, and active work zones while performing hands-on tasks throughout the day.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
