We are seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to join a leading automotive manufacturing OEM. The role involves designing processes to ensure safe and efficient assembly within the designated area. You will utilize analytic tools and traditional industrial engineering methods to optimize production functions, aiming for maximum process efficiency through Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Responsibilities
Design processes for safe and efficient assembly within the responsible area.
Utilize MOST to develop balanced processes across manufacturing areas.
Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to achieve SQCDM targets.
Perform time estimates for process line work.
Maintain accurate AutoCAD department layout.
Read parts drawings, spec notes, and 3D CATIA data.
Create charts and presentations to report status and plans for key department metrics.
Develop standardized document templates.
Load and audit data efficiently.
Conduct equipment/process time studies.
Evaluate and implement plant safety measures.
Essential Skills
Experience in manufacturing process and equipment installation.
Proficiency in assembly and manufacturing engineering.
Skilled in Lean manufacturing and process improvement.
Ability to maintain AutoCAD layouts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in Catia (V6 & V5), accessible via VPN for PLM.
Experience with AutoCAD and MS Office tools for reporting.
Competency in MOST for process data development analysis.
Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment within an automotive OEM. The position requires working with various software tools including Catia, AutoCAD, and MS Office. The work involves ensuring safety and efficiency in a dynamic and collaborative setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Raymond, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
