Job Summary This position is working on a heavy industrial construction worksite. The Carpenter Helper will work with the job supervisor to complete projects under contract. A successful candidate will be able to collaborate with a team of professionals to complete these projects within the projected deadline and under budget.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Constructing, fabricating, installing and dismantling form work of fixtures of metal, wood, and other accessories, rod-busting and concrete finishing.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions.
  • Document, plan, and perform work activities independently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years of form setting, rod-busting and concrete finishing experience in an industrial construction setting
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

Preferred:

  • Must be able to clearly explain steps and provide clear directions.
  • Must be able to complete and complete the paperwork required for purchase orders, time sheets, etc. and answer questions about the construction processes for field staff and other subcontractors.
  • Must be willing to embrace the company's core values.

Work Environment:

  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
  • Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
  • Limited working surfaces.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
