Senior Developer – ServiceNow & PowerShell/Python Automation

Experience: 7+ years

Location: Raritan, NJ (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Senior Developer – ServiceNow & PowerShell/Python Automation to build and maintain automation solutions that improve operational efficiency across our ServiceNow environment. This role requires hands-on experience with PowerShell, Python, CI/CD pipelines, serverless functions, and workflow automation within ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, test, and maintain PowerShell and Python scripts to automate endpoint tasks and streamline operations within ServiceNow.

· Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to support seamless integration and deployment of ServiceNow applications and related systems.

· Use orchestration tools to automate workflows and manage complex processes within the ServiceNow platform.

· Build and deploy serverless functions to improve application scalability and performance using cloud provider capabilities.

· Collaborate with development teams to integrate PowerShell solutions with ServiceNow, leveraging Git for version control.

· Write and optimize SQL queries for data management, reporting, and analysis.

· Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain automation scripts and ServiceNow workflows to ensure accuracy, reliability, and uptime.

· Document processes, scripts, and workflows for internal knowledge sharing and future reference.

Qualifications

  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, and enterprise automation.

  • Hands-on experience working with ServiceNow workflows, integrations, or automation tools.

  • Knowledge of Git for version control.

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).

  • Strong understanding of SQL and data handling best practices.

  • Solid troubleshooting skills and an automation-first mindset.

The annual salary for this position is between $49,001– $92,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
