What you’ll do:
Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. As a standalone company, the Mobility business will be more focused and agile, creating exciting opportunities for employees to grow, innovate, and help shape the future of mobility. The separation reflects strong confidence in the Mobility team and positions the new company as an employer of choice in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
The Process Quality Manager ensures the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of all measurement and quality processes in the Gear Lab, CMM Lab, and Machine Shop. The role supports high precision manufacturing and drives continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations of the Gear Lab and CMM Lab, ensuring accurate and timely measurement of components.
• Manage machine shop process quality, including in process checks and first piece inspections.
• Lead problem solving for dimensional, machining, and gear related quality issues.
• Maintain compliance with relevant standards (ISO/IATF, GD&T, gear measurement standards).
• Ensure calibration, documentation, and audit readiness for all measuring instruments and labs.
• Support APQP/PPAP activities through layout inspection and capability studies.
• Drive quality improvements using SPC, MSA, 8D, and root cause analysis tools.
• Lead and develop a team of quality inspectors, CMM programmers, and lab technicians.
Qualifications:
• BE/BTech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• 12-15 years of experience in precision machining or automotive manufacturing quality.
Skills:
• Hands on experience with gear inspection and CMM measurement.
• Strong understanding of metrology, GD&T, gear measurement, and machining processes.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and quality tools (SPC, MSA, FMEA, 8D).
• Leadership, communication, and team development capabilities.
• Experience in supplier quality will be an added advantage.
