Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch. This role involves customizing units by cutting piping to specified lengths and assembling them according to customer requirements. The assembler will need to interpret blueprints and contribute to the assembly of housing units for racks. The job requires a lot of physical activity, including bending, kneeling, and twisting.
Responsibilities
Brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch.
Cutting piping to specific lengths and assembling them according to customer specifications.
Interpreting and working off blueprints as needed.
Assisting in the assembly of housing units for racks.
Engaging in physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and twisting.
Essential Skills
Mechanical assembly experience.
Proficiency in brazing techniques.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Skilled in using hand tools and tape measures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3+ months of experience in mechanical assembly, complex machine operation, or construction.
Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through relevant experience.
Skills in MIG welding on mild steel are advantageous.
Experience in repairing machinery or automotive work.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a large manufacturing building where units are built in teams of 3-4 people. The environment is fast-paced and well-lit, maintaining cleanliness despite the nature of the work. The hours are from 5:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday. While the building lacks air conditioning, fans are used to keep air flowing. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required every day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
