Essential Job Duties:
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the accurate reconciliation and reporting of multi-state payroll taxes following each monthly and bi-weekly payroll cycle. This role serves as a key resource for employees regarding state tax matters, providing timely and accurate guidance on tax withholdings. The position is also responsible for verifying employee work locations—particularly for those with addresses outside of North Carolina—to ensure compliance with applicable state tax regulations and proper withholding practices.

Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience using Oracle PeopleSoft HR systems is required.
Proven experience with payroll tax reporting, including multi-state tax processes, is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
2–4 years of experience in payroll tax reporting, with a focus on multi-state taxation preferred.
Working knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience using enterprise HRIS systems, such as Oracle PeopleSoft, to manage payroll and tax functions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively respond to employee inquiries.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
