• Working with campus IT and security teams
• Supporting infrastructure during a key transition period
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator with security and PCI experience to support a large university system. This role blends hands-on Linux administration with meaningful compliance and security work, offering exposure to enterprise-scale systems in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable wearing multiple hats while supporting both project initiatives and daily operations.

Skills and Requirements
Must-Haves:
• 5-7 years of experience within Linux administration experience
• Day-to-day admin skills:
○ User accounts
○ OS patching
○ Server support
• Experience working in secure environments (PCI, NIST, STIGs, etc.)
• Comfort with documentation and compliance requirements
• Ansible experience (running playbooks, light scripting)
• VMware experience (VM administration, snapshots) Nice-to-Haves:
• PCI compliance experience in higher education
• NetApp storage exposure
• ERP system support (Ellucian Banner is a plus)
• Cloud-hosted infrastructure experience
Using AI tools to assist with documentation
