Senior Accountant | 6 Month Contract to Hire | Raleigh, NC
Job Summary:
This position will assist in monthly close activities, complex journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, annual audit requests, and ad hoc financial reporting and projects. In addition, this position will review monthly balance sheet reconciliations of other analysts and staff accountants.
Description:
• Assist with monthly closing activities, including journal entry preparation, account review, and posting entries of others. A specific focus will be on regional assets and liability balances, and profit and loss.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations by region, identify and resolve reconciling items, and prepare any adjusting entries.
• Highlight and communicate significant reconciling transactions with region controllers and resolve timely.
• Analyze and prepare special request financial reports, as needed.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting, as needed.
• Provide documentation for audit requests, as needed.
• Provide leadership and guidance to other accounting team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Accounting/Business BA or BS Degree from a four (4) year college or university (minimum).
• Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience as a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst in a medium-to-large business environment.
• CPA or comparable technical designation/advanced degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and current accounting practices.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Workday preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
