Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer II to support and resolve customer quality issues and enhance warranty performance across our CPS business. You will be responsible for analyzing data to identify product and customer issues, driving root cause analysis, and ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions. Your role will involve utilizing problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, 5-Why, and Six Sigma tools. You will collaborate cross-functionally to manage and close corrective actions with various teams, including Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Service, and Operations. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between customers, field engineers, and manufacturing teams, maintain quality data systems, and provide lessons learned to different plans and strategies.
Responsibilities
Support and resolve customer quality issues and warranty performance across CPS business.
Analyze data to identify product and customer issues, drive root cause analysis, and ensure closed-loop corrective and preventive actions.
Drive problem-solving methodologies including 8D, A3, 5-Why, and Six Sigma tools.
Coordinate cross-functionally to manage and close corrective actions with Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Service, and Operations teams.
Act as liaison between customers, field engineers, and manufacturing teams.
Maintain and improve quality data systems and analytics for continuous improvement.
Provide lessons learned to NPD, FMEA, Control Plans, and Quality Plans.
Support customer quality strategies and initiatives.
Improve warranty CONC performance and achieve divisional goals.
Improve product line field performance and customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in quality engineering and root cause analysis.
Advanced problem-solving skills and methods including Six Sigma, A3, 5-Why, and 8D.
Strong data analytics capabilities with tools such as Excel, SAP, or Salesforce.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead projects across functions.
Ability to work in a matrix organization and cross-cultural environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage projects with tight deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
0-3 years of Quality Engineering or related experience.
Manufacturing or engineering experience.
U.S. work authorization.
Local to Raleigh, NC (within 60 miles).
Experience in electrical manufacturing or power distribution.
Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) certification.
ASQ CQE or CMQ/OE certification.
Experience with SAP and/or Salesforce.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of QMS and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of electrical power quality and distribution products and systems.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position located in Raleigh, NC, requiring local candidates within a 60-mile radius. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. The role involves supporting teams and product lines across Richmond, VA, Santa Ana, CA, Raleigh, NC, and Youngsville, NC. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with internal and external customers in critical situations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
