What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in developing mechanical and HVAC systems for complex building projects, working closely with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality designs.

Design & Technical Work

  • Use Revit and/or CAD to create and manage detailed 3D mechanical models.

  • Prepare HVAC one-line diagrams and review load calculations.

  • Apply strong knowledge of mechanical and energy codes to ensure compliance.

  • Edit and customize project specifications to reflect design requirements.

  • Develop equipment room sizing and layouts across schematic and design development phases.

  • Select, evaluate, and schedule HVAC equipment; meet with vendors to clarify requirements.

Project Leadership & Coordination

  • Coordinate mechanical designs with MEPFP, architectural, and structural disciplines.

  • Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and solve field installation challenges.

  • Apply risk management and incorporate best practices into daily decision‑making.

  • Manage work planning for MEP/FP tasks and track hours effectively.

  • Mentor and guide designers and junior staff.

Quality Assurance & Engineering Analysis

  • Perform QA/QC reviews on calculations, documents, and design packages.

  • Prepare studies, technical reports, and sequences of operations.

  • Conduct life cycle cost analyses for various mechanical systems.

  • Review and apply all relevant code requirements.

  • Contribute to the development of work plans alongside Project Managers.

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in Mechanical design and engineering fundamentals.

  • Strong background in HVAC engineering and system design.

  • Experience working in Revit and AutoCAD for modeling and documentation.

  • Ability to manage projects, prioritize effectively, and lead technical efforts.

  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

  • 4+ years of HVAC building design experience.

  • EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred.

  • Experience with Science & Technology sector projects is highly valued.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
