Our focus is on the health and safety of our teammates as well as work-life balance and diversity and inclusion. From generous benefits to a variety of employee resource groups, we strive to build paths that encourage employees to stretch themselves professionally. We want to help you grow, develop, and learn new things. You’re constantly evolving, so shouldn’t your opportunities be, too?

The Opportunity

This role is on a hybrid schedule in our Charlotte or Detroit office, in office a few days each week with some remote work.

Ensure the Project Management Team adheres to our Project Management SOP to apply consistent standards for project planning and execution using a hybrid of Agile and Waterfall methodologies. You may also lead projects as needed.

You will proactively identify interdependencies across Center’s of Excellence (COEs) and with parallel projects, escalating and resolving conflicts as needed. Operating with limited supervision, you will exercise sound judgment in day-to-day delivery and provide clear, concise status reporting and decision support to the Director, HR Portfolio Management, and, as appropriate, Ally Senior Leadership.

The Work Itself

  • Partner closely with the Director of Portfolio Management to maintain a healthy backlog and inform the HR Portfolio Roadmap
  • Partner closely with the Director of Portfolio Management to identify opportunities to mature the HR Portfolio Team and its processes
  • Own day-to-day team operations: assignment strategy and capacity planning
  • Ensure consistent use of SOPs, templates, and delivery standards (hybrid Agile/Waterfall), including audit/quality checks
  • Participate in recurring ceremonies and cadences: standups, sprint planning, retros, sprint reviews, and other project meetings
  • Drive continuous improvement of portfolio processes, tooling (Jira/Confluence), and HR operating model ways of working.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations- deliver concise, audience-tailored status updates as needed
  • Drive decision-making by framing tradeoffs, dependencies, and scenarios
