We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer for HVDC, Communication and Networking .
In our HVDC Communication Team, we test and validate network infrastructures, communication interfaces, and HMI concepts for our innovative HVDC projects in our dedicated Test Center. During global commissioning activities, we ensure that every HVDC system operates flawlessly and meets the highest quality standards.
Our diverse, multinational teams collaborate closely with project management as well as system and component engineering to deliver customized solutions built on the latest advancements in HVDC technology.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Leading the technical, timely, and cost‑efficient commissioning of HVDC systems worldwide, with a focus on data networks and SCADA‑level communication
Commissioning, supporting, and optimizing TCP/IP‑based network infrastructure and HMI concepts
Managing time‑synchronization systems and signal converters, serving as the interface to all signal‑supplying components
Supporting other commissioning teams, customers, and partners in troubleshooting and testing communication interfaces
Contributing to quality, risk, and claim management as well as continuous improvement programs (Lean, reviews, lessons learned)
What You Bring
Degree in electrical engineering preferred, energy technology, or a comparable qualification
Experience in network and PC administration (switches/routers, HMI basics, hardware, virtualization) with foundational knowledge of network protocols, security, and monitoring
Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and work with electrical systems and measuring instruments
Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical information clearly; proactive and team‑oriented working style
OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or similar preferred
Willingness for worldwide travel and extended onsite or offshore assignments
Travel, as needed (6-9 months in Raleigh, 6-9 months in different location).
