This role can be located in: Atlanta, GA; Raleigh, NC or Miami, FL. Position is Hybrid and occasional travel is required.
In this role, you will lead the commercial direction of projects during the acquisition and bid phase, shaping offers that are competitive, compliant, and transparent while aligning with Siemens’ financial objectives and risk standards. You will work closely with Sales, Management, Finance, Legal, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to secure the right projects for sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
Lead and govern the end-to-end commercial bid process, including bid approvals and documentation (Limits of Authority process)
Drive quality, compliance, and adherence to bid governance across all participating functions
Develop and validate financial assumptions (margin, cash flow, exposure) aligned with management expectations
Ensure risks, assumptions, and contingencies are fully identified, transparent, and escalated as needed
Partner with Sales to support competitive, well-structured bid strategies
Review and negotiate contractual terms in collaboration with Sales and Legal
Collaborate with Operations / Execution teams to integrate lessons learned and execution risks into bids
Operate effectively under tight deadlines, maintaining discipline, transparency, and decision traceability
Build strong relationships and trust with key stakeholders through credibility and clear communication
Drive organization-wide adherence to bid governance and commercial processes, ensuring all involved functions consistently follow required steps, quality gates, and escalation paths
You will impress us with the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Experience: 2+ years of work experience in commercial project controlling or bid management in a project-based or construction environment
Required travel: 10-20%
Proven ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in bid-driven environments
Preferred Qualifications
PM@Siemens - CPM certificate or equivalent
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, including the ability to build trust with Sales, Management, Finance, and Operations
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive adherence to processes across cross-functional teams
High level of integrity, transparency, and accountability when managing commercial risks and approvals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain risks, assumptions, and trade-offs to stakeholders
Ability to understand and anticipate management expectations and align bid strategies accordingly
Resilience and composure when operating in complex, high-pressure, and ambiguous situations
Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

The pay range for this position is $91,086 - $123,318 and an annual incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
