Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to join our Radford, VA team. The HR Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor, partner with business leaders, and lead strategic and organizational change efforts to transform our workforce for the future. This is a dynamic HR role which involves developing strategies for talent needs, performance management, and employee engagement to meet future business needs and improve organizational success.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading HR initiatives, such as succession planning, talent reviews, performance development reviews, workforce planning, training & development, compensation, etc.
Collaborate with the Centers of Expertise (COEs) and all elements of the HR delivery model to ensure the delivery of world class HR services and programs to address critical business needs and employ effective measures of success.
Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to the leadership team, by developing effective HR strategies that support business goals and workforce actions.
Provide fair and objective leadership in all aspects of employee relations by maintaining compliance with our policies and procedures, ensuring proper case management, and upholding the fairness and integrity of our investigation process.
Support business activities that promote a culture of performance excellence, agility, inclusivity, and resilience.
Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop skilled employees, including succession planning, leadership development, and employee training programs.
Lead HR-related projects, such as implementing harmonized HR workflows, designing/redesigning HR processes, developing employee engagement initiatives, etc.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, conduct analysis to identify root cause, and implement recommendations for corrective and preventative actions.
Champion process improvement and innovation to meet current and future business needs.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
Experience in HR Generalist and/or HR Business Partner role
Experience in Employee Relations
Experience in Investigations and Full-cycle Case Management
Experience in HR Project Management/Coordination
Experience in Advising and Coaching Leadership
Knowledge in Employment Law and Regulations
Strong employee relations background, with the ability to ensure fairness and integrity in the investigation process
Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand operations and how HR strategies support business objectives
Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks
Ability to be agile and support change management and organizational transformation
Ability to drive process improvement and innovation
Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
Ability to prepare appropriate reports, documents, and presentations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and industry related software (i.e., Peoplesoft, Oracle, etc.)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
HR Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP)
Experience in Advanced Excel functions and Power BI
Experience in HR Data Analytics, Metrics, and KPIs
Ability to understanding HR data, provide data-driven storytelling, and identify solutions and plans based on data
Experience in Manufacturing or Production environments
Experience in supporting a skilled trade/industrial workforce
Experience in Change Management, Process Improvement, or Organizational Transformation
Knowledge in Talent Management and Development principles
Knowledge in Compensation and Benefits design and administration
Knowledge in HR market trends and best practices
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $92180 - $156707
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
