ManpowerGroup Quality Engineer in Racine, Wisconsin

Our client, a job shop creating custom precision parts and stampings working primarily with metals, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Operations Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in all Quality Assurance initiatives using quality planning, problem solving, RMA evaluation, RCCM, reporting, manufacturing process improvements and corrective/preventative actions. The position will begin as a contract status role and convert to direct hire. This role Will NOT support candidates requiring sponsorships or with visa requirements. Strongest consideration will be given to candidates within a reasonable commuting distance. Candidates should reside in SE WI.

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Racine, WI

Pay: $38-$42/hr plus OT, benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Program CMM (Brown & Sharpe PC-DMIS) and create set-up instructions

  • Accurately measure parts using CMM, micrometers, hand gages, or other precision instruments to perform first piece or in process inspections.

  • Support the Quality Management System (ISO9001), document creation & control, auditing, quality reject investigation & reporting, and project assignments

  • Provide Quality Management, Manufacturing, and Sales with problem resolution and general support

  • Responding to customer complaints, RMA requests, and corrective actions

  • Create PPAPs

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or quality engineering experience

  • Ability to program a CMM (PC-DMIS)

  • Basic knowledge in the application of inspection and test equipment

  • Read and interpret blueprints that include Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing

  • Effective written and verbal communication to include technical writing with the ability to read/understand/apply written instructions, procedures, and technical standards.
