Actalent Automation Engineer in Racine, Wisconsin
Job Title: Automation Engineer
Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated equipment including PLC-controlled machinery, robotic systems, conveyors, and CNC-related automation.
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues in a manufacturing environment.
Support PLCs, HMIs, sensors, VFDs, servos, and industrial networks.
Assist with programming changes, backups, and documentation for automation systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on automated equipment to reduce downtime.
Support new equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve cycle times, uptime, and process capability.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Racine, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
