We operate a farm in NW Kansas, we grow wheat, corn, sunflowers and sorghum, we have dry land and irrigated land requiring daily checking of the center pivots. We operate all types of farm machinery, including tractors for pulling plows, planters, and grain carts, we utilize sprayers used for applying chemical and fertilizer in growing crops. Much of the grain is stored in grain bins to be hauled to market after harvest. Need to be able to operate farm tractors for plowing and planting and run a grain cart at harvest time. Basic knowledge of operating a tractor is needed. Must have combine experience since employee could also operate a combine at harvest time. Complete general maintenance around the farm on machinery. May be required to operate a sprayer. The employer, at its sole discretion, grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience.
Housing is provided. Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence is also offered. Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day.
