Your role and responsibilities

As a Functional/Business Analyst specializing in Asset Management, you will analyze, design, and support Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions using IBM Maximo and related technologies. This role focuses on understanding business processes, translating requirements into functional configurations, and ensuring that EAM solutions are efficient, reliable, and aligned with organizational needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maximo Configuration & Enhancement: Configure, validate, and enhance Maximo modules, workflows, and functional components, while supporting upgrades, patches, and integrations.

  • Requirements & Analysis: Gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to asset management, maintenance, and work management processes, ensuring alignment with Maximo capabilities.

  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Support functional, regression, and UAT testing by preparing test scripts, validating configurations, and ensuring solutions meet business expectations.

  • Issue Resolution & Process Improvement: Collaborate with technical teams to triage issues, perform root‑cause analysis, recommend functional solutions, and assist in optimizing business processes using industry best practices.

  • Documentation & Stakeholder Collaboration: Create clear functional documentation and communicate effectively with business and IT stakeholders to ensure transparency, expectation alignment, and successful delivery.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Maximo Expertise: Experience working with IBM Maximo in a functional or technical capacity, with an understanding of its core modules and capabilities.

  • Asset Management Knowledge: Strong familiarity with asset management, maintenance operations, or work management workflows within enterprise environments.

  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze business processes, identify gaps, and solve problems effectively.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to work efficiently with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

  • Data & Reporting: Basic knowledge of SQL or reporting tools to support data validation and analysis.

Preferred technical and professional experience

Industry & Domain Knowledge: Experience in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Utilities, Energy, Facilities, or similar asset‑intensive industries.

Reporting & Data Skills: Understanding of Maximo reporting tools such as BIRT, Cognos, or similar, along with familiarity with Maximo data structures.

Integrations & Modern Platforms: Exposure to Maximo integrations, configuration management, and cloud‑based environments, with familiarity with Maximo Application Suite (MAS) as a plus.
