Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Regional Category Manager Mechanical Assemblies & Stampings- Electrical Sector NA.

Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain, the Regional Category Manager - Mechanical Assemblies and Stampings leads the development and deployment of the regional category strategy for Mechanical Assemblies for Electrical Sector Americas. This role also supports critical initiative, special projects and commercial management of some vendors for Stampings. In this role, you will drive towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, working capital, quality, delivery, resiliency, innovation, VAVE) for both businesses in the assigned categories by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the “One Supply Chain” philosophy.

Job Responsibilities

• You will support development of and deploy strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners.

• You will negotiate and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships.

• You will review, approve, monitor and report compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions.

• You will lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for approximately $20M Spend of Mechanical Assemblies and $10M- §15M Spend of Stampings (under guidance from NA Stampings Category Manager) for the NA Electrical Sector. You will drive category performance toward optimal conditions (cost, commercial, working capital, quality, delivery, resiliency, and VAVE) by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the “One Eaton” philosophy through collaboration with business stakeholders.

• You will plan, prepare and execute annual profit planning for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross-functional teams.

• You will lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers annually.

• You will identify potential financial and operational threats to the business and develop and deploy proactive supplier risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity.

• You will facilitate the cross-functional team in effectively managing financially distressed supplier situations with high visibility to senior leadership.

• You will support stamping sourcing activities in Mexico.

Qualifications:

Education level required

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Supply Chain related certification (e.g. CPM, CPIM)

• MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain from an accredited institution

Years and area of experience required

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' professional experience in Procurement or a minimum of 3 years' professional experience in Supply Chain or Operations

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ professional negotiating experience in a global business environment

• 2-3 years’ professional experience with accountability across multiple manufacturing facilities

Technical knowledge

Position Criteria

• Knowledge of the stampings/sheet metal /assembly processes and Industries, and ability to identify technology and economical trends within the category

• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in successfully deploying category strategies and driving cost-out.

• Creative thinking skills to produce new approaches in category management and implement emerging tools

• Demonstrates knowledge and experience facilitating cross-functional teams in projects / programs posing significant financial / operational impact to the business with high visibility to senior leadership.

Scope of Responsibilities: Local, regional, etc.

• Primarily focused on managing Mechanical Assemblies Spend for the Electrical Sector (except GEIS) NA and driving key initatives for Stampings category. The person in this role will also collaborate with peers of other sectors worldwide and Category Managers/Projects within GPO Team.

• The total Mechanical Assembly spend is around$20M spread at over 100 vendors. Stampings scope : around $10M-$15M spend associated.

• Responsible for facilitating the cross-functional team to effectively manage financially distressed supplier situations with high visibility to senior leadership.

• Over 2B$ revenus impacted . KSI for the role = cost out, price increase mitigation, WC improvement, Resiliency, OTD, DPPM, Contract Coverage, Delivery lead times, Escalations support.
