Eaton Corporation Payroll Accounting US in Queretaro, Mexico

Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Payroll Accounting US.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary

Provide Accounting support to Sites in US for activities related to Payroll Accounting. Payroll accruals, reconciliations, process adjustments for payroll and benefit accruals, etc. Ensuring and maintaining data integrity consistent with U.S. GAAP.

Job Responsibilities

• Support End to End project, taking on various accounting functions for both payroll and benefits.

• Month End Activities: Journal Entries of reclasses, adjustments etc. related to payroll accounts (expenses and liabilities).

• Perform reconciliation between payroll, time and labor reports and the General Ledger (SAP / Oracle).

• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP)

• Compare cash receipt and disbursement activity on Oracle general ledger and bank statements. Identify any activity not appearing on both mediums as a reconciling item (Depending on the site’s needs).

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations for payroll and benefit accruals.

• Monitor actual balances to perform appropriate true ups of accrual accounts.

• Discuss and seek to resolve, with bank and/or Eaton personnel, discrepancies between the Payroll System and General Ledger, which require corrective action.

• Provide assistance in the resolution of issues related to discrepancies, requiring the ability to effectively research transactions and recognize procedural and other errors.

• Collect and coordinate, on a monthly basis, related supporting documentation from Finance, Divisions and Internal Accounting Departments.

• Coordinate and assist with interim and year-end external audit testing of general ledger for accruals accounts (Liability).

• Reporting process for the presentation of Payroll data weekly – Biweekly – Monthly (depending of the sites needs)

• Constant communication with Finance Department from sites located at the US for the correct development of the activities.

• Development of efficiencies in workpaper, improvements and standardization.

• Additional activities related to prepare data for finance teams in case of needed

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an accounting role.

Technical Knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and transactional accounting.

  • Advanced English proficiency (written, spoken, and listening).

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
