Job Description Summary
The Operations Leader for Infrastructure is responsible for operationalizing the team’s strategy and driving end-to-end operational efficiency across the different team’s sub-teams. This role champions a Lean culture transformation, establishes daily management and operating rhythms, aligns resources to strategic priorities, and ensures Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) outcomes. The leader will partner closely with Engineering, Global and Site Operations, the Site’s Senior FLIGHTDECK Leader, Quality, HR, and Finance to translate business needs into targets, monitor performance via clear metrics, and lead budgeting, growth planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires strong cross-functional leadership, disciplined execution, customer service orientation, and bilingual communication.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Lean Culture & Transformation
Partner with Infrastructure, site Operations, and FLIGHT DECK leaders to build a culture of continuous improvement and waste elimination.
Serve as a Lean change agent; coach Section and Subsection Managers in Lean practices, daily management, and problem-solving.
Identify, scope, and prioritize Lean projects aligned to Section/Subsection strategies; execute training programs and develop new modules as needed.
Strategy Deployment & Operating Rhythm
Lead the definition and execution of the Section’s operative plan; support the business operative plan and report progress.
Establish and maintain daily management and operational review rhythms.
Translate business priorities into measurable operational targets and action plans across disciplines.
Financial Planning & Resource Management
Lead the Section’s budget planning, tracking, and execution; collaborate on broader financial planning with Finance and leadership.
Drive cost-effectiveness and sustainability; monitor variances, risks, and corrective actions.
Collaborate on the Section’s growth (hiring) plan; support workforce planning and onboarding aligned to business needs.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Communication
Act as a key liaison between Infrastructure disciplines and partner functions (Engineering, Operations, Quality, HR, Finance).
Facilitate clear, timely communication of performance, risks, and decisions to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Coach teams to improve lead times, reduce waste, and deliver incremental value with high customer service standards.
Performance Management & Governance
Define KPIs and dashboards for SQDCP; monitor trends, conduct operational reviews, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Drive standard work adoption, process adherence, and continuous improvement across all Infrastructure services.
Support audits, compliance reviews, and readiness activities to prevent operational disruptions.
Qualifications/Requirements
Solid contribution and performance in current or prior roles
Experience implementing Lean methodologies (e.g., daily management, visual controls, standard work, problem-solving, value stream improvements)
Demonstrated experience with budget management
Demonstrated success driving KPI performance with measurable outcomes
Strong presentation skills; ability to communicate with senior leadership
Experience managing cross-functional projects and acting as a liaison between operations and support areas (or similar)
Proven ability to coach others and lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Interpersonal and leadership experience with a track record of influencing teams
Ability to establish common goals and objectives and shape long-term vision and strategy
Effective problem-solving skills
Bilingual: Effective written and oral communication in English and Spanish
English fluency: Able to maintain normal day-to-day conversations and lead meetings confidently with minimal errors
Bachelor's degree.
