We're partnering with a prominent media organization, to find a talented Associate Manager, Category Strategy. This contract role supports category-focused advertising efforts across CPG and Retail sectors, located remotely in a dynamic environment. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic insights and client support.

  • Contract to Oct '26 + possible extend

  • Hybrid onsite in Hudson Yards NYC

Associate Manager, Category Strategy Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop responses for RFPs and create strategic presentations.

  • Support the development of evidence-based narratives that highlight the company's value proposition in the advertising marketplace.

  • Mine syndicated data sources to identify opportunities aligned with client objectives.

  • Serve as a link between research, sales, and strategy to craft measurement plans based on client KPIs.

  • Analyze consumer media trends and industry measurement tools to inform strategic decisions.

  • Assist in developing category-specific insights and reports to support marketing initiatives.

  • Conduct competitive analyses to benchmark client performance against industry standards.

  • Participate in client meetings to communicate strategic insights and recommendations.

  • Monitor industry news and emerging trends to ensure strategies remain innovative and competitive.

  • Support the creation of training materials for internal teams on data analysis and strategic planning.

Associate Manager, Category Strategy Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in advertising, media, or marketing, ideally within CPG or Retail sectors.

  • Hands-on experience with media measurement tools such as Comscore, Nielsen, and others.

  • Knowledge of cross-platform attribution and data-driven solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize insights into clear recommendations.

  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for brands and the advertising industry.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Familiarity with digital advertising ecosystem and programmatic media.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field.
