JOB GOAL:\ To assist in the maintenance of an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria and playground by helping and supervising students during lunch periods.\ \ QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Ability to monitor and supervise small and large groups of students in a positive manner.
  3. Ability to follow directions and school procedures from Principal and designated staff.
  4. Effective communicator and work cooperatively with others.
  5. Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations and rules.
  6. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  7. Prefer First Aid and/or CPR certification.
  8. Must pass a background clearance
  9. Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

\ TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:181Days; 9 Months\ COMPENSATION:Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position\ BENEFITS:As per QCUSD District policy\ REPORTS TO:Principal\ HOURS:11.24hours per week -Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 11 a.m.-1:15 p.m.; Wednesday and early release days: 10:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.\ CLASSIFICATION:Hourly, Non-exempt


PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:\ Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Supervise students and assist in the cafeteria during lunch and/or recess.
  2. Accept responsibility for students well being and safety, as the fundamental value in decision making, while they are in employee\'s care.
  3. Provide excellent customer service skills to students, employees and community.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to work with children in a patient, friendly, and enthusiastic manner.
  5. Demonstrate interest in the nutrition and enthusiasm for school lunch menu items.
  6. Encourage and support healthy eating during lunch through interaction with students.
  7. Regulate and assist student traffic in an efficient, orderly manner.
  8. Prevent and subdue disorderly behavior, refer disciple problems to the administrator.
  9. Oversee that children clear tables and dispose of trash in proper receptacles.
  10. Wipe and sanitize all tables before, during and after each lunch period. Assist in cleaning the floor.
  11. Perform all duties in a safe and prudent manner.
  12. Perform other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
