Department of the Navy/Assistant for Administration SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in Quantico, Virginia
Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Responsibilities You will ensure the assigned human resources management activities of NCIS are conducted in compliance with laws and regulations governing the management of civilian employees. You will seek opportunities to improve individual and organizational performance through process changes and/or employee training. You will recommend changes to personnel assignments to enhance efficiency and to improve timeliness and quality of performance. You will prepare regular performance reports and publish data through a stop-light and/or other reporting format. You will provide input to budget and other resource planning events to ensure adequacy of human and capital investments. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing expert program management in a broad variety of Human Resources (HR) functional areas including policy, direction, and managerial issues; and overseeing the daily operations of HR services for an organization.
