Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Software Engineer Level 5 with experience in Vulnerability Research and Device Exploitation to support a federal law enforcement effort focused on National Security. This position is for a senior level, experienced vulnerability researcher that will serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in charge of directing technical efforts to analyze, assess, develop, and deploy vulnerabilities and exploits for devices utilizing Apple iOS and Google Android. The Software Engineer will conduct research, develop solutions, and implement operational and analytic capabilities to strengthen technical operations associated with complex criminal and national security activities.
As a key Software Engineer for vulnerability research, you will plan and lead major technology assignments. Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. You will be expected to function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments and may be tasked to supervise others.
Responsibilities
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in charge of directing task order personnel s technical efforts to analyze, assess, develop, and deploy vulnerabilities and exploits for devices utilizing Apple iOS and Google Android.
Occasional accompaniment of government staff to meetings with partners offering similar vulnerabilities and exploits in order to establish initial technical assessment of those items
Attendance at joint development meetings and workshops with other intelligence services and corporate entities
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security, Computer Forensics, or Information Systems
Minimum of 8 years relevant vulnerability research, reverse engineering, or equivalent computer security field experience
Demonstrated program proficiency in security-oriented areas, in depth knowledge of mobile and desk top operating systems and prior experience leading teams in a computer security-oriented environment.
Expert level understanding and experience in computer and security related fields of practice such as Vulnerability Research and Reverse Engineering
Experience in organizing and coordinating team development efforts within Agile
Additional education, certifications, or related experience in lieu of degree at government discretion
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
