Summary You will serve as a LIBRARIAN (SYSTEMS LIBRARIAN) in the Marine Corps University of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12929671-26-EJG. Responsibilities You will primarily be responsible for the management and maintenance of automated library information management systems (ExLibris Alma), and related software and applications, and online public catalog (ExLibris Primo). You will proactively coordinate with library staff and others to identify, plan, and implement changes that improve system functionality and staff user workflows. You will interpret and implement feedback from assessments to improve functionality and end-user accessibility to library systems and related applications. You will train library staff on system and application upgrades, enhancements, and provides basic training and orientation to new personnel required to use library management systems. You will perform technical duties associated with ensuring that online public catalog and digital objects display properly online and are findable and accessible by clientele. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Identifying and resolving time-sensitive technical issues that affect end user access and library staff functional areas and collaborating with library staff to solve a wide variety of access and dissemination problems. GS-11 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing Alma library management systems, and related software and technical applications; and configuring and maintaining policies, procedures, and satisfaction of end users of library software systems.
