Department of the Navy/Assistant for Administration FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Quantico, Virginia

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGMENT ANALYST in the BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE of NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. All applications received on the day the application limit is reached will be accepted and processed. Responsibilities You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies. You will review and evaluate budget requests. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: - Experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving a range of budgetary problems such as developing alternative methods of funding. - Experience in formulation of budget estimates for programs in which funding requirements have changed significantly. - Experience with budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations. - Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with related staff at all levels through clear, courteous, and effective communication with both internal and external customers. Education Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
