Why This Role Matters
As a Lab Technician you will support the Operations in the Applied Physical Metrology department in the GY Innovation Center Luxemburg. You will evaluate new materials for the development of new products, technologies and services by testing compound, reinforcement and composite test samples.
What You’ll Do
Support and execute autonomous mixing, preparation, vulcanization and material testing activities.
Ensure adherence to established company EHS and quality standards.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the work being performed’ with ‘Autonomy and rigor in executing tasks`
Autonomous internal ordering of work-related consumables and Raw materials.
Provide insights to partners on relevant processes & tools.
Adress partners' questions about material processing behavior or work status.
Execute special mixing or preparation requests that may require special set-up
Support initiatives focused on improving, operational efficiencies, standardization, process improvements, quality initiatives and teamwork (Plant optimization implementation support).
What We’re looking for
Ability to work on 3 shifts (no weekend work or bank holiday work required)
Work experience related to material lab operations or mechanical skills are strong assets
Working knowledge of administrative tools as well as other tools to support an efficient work group.
Fluency in English (Luxemburgish, German and French are assets)
Solid computer skills (e-mail, Microsoft office).
Most of the operation is performed in an upright positon
