Job Title: CNC Operator Job Description
Join our team as a CNC Lathe Operator, where you will play a crucial role in precision machining operations utilizing high-performance CNC lathes. These machines are vital in manufacturing complex components, particularly for aerospace applications, and maintaining quality and efficiency is your primary mission.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathes.
Read and edit CNC programs.
Interpret blueprints and operation sheets.
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to ensure quality standards.
Safely perform tasks related to maintaining, upgrading, and repairing CNC machinery.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Follow PPE protocols and safe work practices to minimize risk.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Identify facility maintenance needs and escalate unresolved issues.
Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical malfunctions.
Essential Skills
CNC operation experience.
Lathe operation proficiency.
Ability to interpret blueprints.
Experience with CNC lathes and machining.
Proficiency in using calipers and micrometers.
Experience with Haas and Mazak machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience operating CNC lathe machinery.
Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently.
Solid understanding of mathematics and mechanical principles.
Proficiency with software and computer systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Putnam, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr.
