Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing all shipping, receiving, and logistics operations to ensure efficient product flow, accurate order fulfillment, and on-time delivery to customers. This role manages freight coordination, warehouse organization, and shipping team performance while supporting overall production and customer satisfaction goals.

Essential Job Functions

.Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

.Coordinate outbound shipments including LTL, FTL, and parcel carriers

.Manage inbound freight, unloading, and material flow into production and inventory

.Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, brokers, and freight partners

.Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and documented

.Monitor shipping schedules to ensure on-time delivery to customers

.Lead, train, and manage shipping and logistics team members

.Optimize freight costs through carrier selection, load planning, and negotiation

.Maintain organized warehouse and staging areas for efficient product flow

.Track logistics metrics including on-time shipments, freight cost, and shipping accuracy

.Troubleshoot shipping and delivery issues and communicate with internal teams and customers as needed

.Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies

.Support ERP system usage for order tracking, inventory movement, and shipping documentation

.Coordinate with production, customer service, and sales teams to align shipping priorities

.Assist with inventory control processes and cycle counts as needed

.Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Minimum Qualifications

.3-5+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, or warehouse management

.Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred

.Strong understanding of freight, carriers, and shipping processes (LTL, FTL, parcel)

.Experience with warehouse operations and material handling

.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

.Excellent communication and organizational skills

.Familiarity with ERP systems and shipping software preferred

.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) preferred

.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Physical Requirements

.Standing and walking for extended periods (more than 2/3 of workday)

.Frequent use of hands for handling materials and equipment

.Frequent lifting, bending, and reaching

.Ability to lift 25lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally

.Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout shift

Working Conditions

.Indoor warehouse / manufacturing environment

.Loud noise levels requiring hearing protection

.Non-climate-controlled workspace with exposure to heat and cold

.Exposure to forklifts, trucks, and shipping equipment (with required PPE)
