The Video Editor supports the creation and delivery of high-quality video content that showcases Huron’s expertise, insights, and culture across internal and external channels. This role partners closely with a distributed Marketing team in India and the United States to edit, version, and optimize video assets for brand campaigns, thought leadership, recruitment marketing, social media, events, and internal communications.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Post-Production
• Edit short- and long-form marketing videos, including social cutdowns, webinar and event highlights, thought-leadership clips, recruiting/brand videos, and internal communications content as needed.
• Execute post-production tasks such as audio cleanup and mixing, color correction, captioning/subtitling, and quality control to ensure polished, brand-aligned output.
• Create and apply basic motion graphics, lower thirds, title cards, and templates in line with brand standards.
Content & Campaign Support
• Work from creative briefs, scripts, and existing footage to deliver edits that support marketing and campaign objectives.
• Version and format video assets for multiple platforms and use cases (e.g., 16:9, 1:1, 9:16), including safe areas, crops, and exports.
• Incorporate feedback from Marketing partners and stakeholders, iterating efficiently while maintaining timelines and quality.
Collaboration & Workflow
• Partner with campaign, brand, content, and subject matter experts across India and the US; provide clear status updates and handoffs across time zones (some overlap hours may be required).
• Support project tracking and deadlines within established workflows and tools (e.g., Wrike or similar).
• Organize video assets using agreed naming conventions, shared drives, or DAM systems to ensure easy access and reuse.
Technology & Tools
• Proficiency with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects for basic motion graphics is a plus.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Understanding of video formats, codecs, compression, and delivery standards for web and social platforms.
• Experience working within brand guidelines and collaborative review workflows.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Film, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in video editing or post-production, ideally within a corporate, agency, or B2B environment.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong editing fundamentals, storytelling, attention to detail, and a range of video formats.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable receiving feedback and collaborating with global stakeholders.
