Test Engineering

This role in summary

In this position you will be a partner with the SES Execution team to deliver "Product" Leadership, with the best in class, Test Automation- for SW development, ensuring flawless delivery of software (SW) which are verified and validated, that are leveraged across multiple regions and project execution.

Your responsibilities will include

  • 3+ years of experience in Embedded / Mobile App / Cloud software development or testing domain

  • Knowledge of Java and / or Android development and testing. Knowledge of Spring Boot, Angular, and SQL, along with a fundamental understanding of AWS Cloud.

  • AWS knowledge includes basic knowledge of S3, Lambda, EC2, and RDS. Understanding of IoT architecture, MQTT Protocol is a plus.

  • Curiosity - Need to be driven to know “how something works?” and “how to generate quality & efficiency?”

  • Experience with different test automation frameworks and scripting.

  • Knowledge in IOT architecture, AWS cloud domain includes like s3 bucket, lambda, ec2, RDS.

  • Experience with SCRUM or Agile development concepts.

  • Experience with software testing, debugging and project repository tools such as Selenium, Appium, Git, Jenkins, Jira, Rational

  • Ability to debug complex issues, read and interpret logs.

  • Understanding of Gen AI concepts and integrating with different test frameworks or tooling.

  • Basic understanding of SW tooling and Test architecture.

  • Basic understanding of Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Development (CD) principles

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to understand various types of tests such as - component level, interface, integration, regression, System level, subsystem level, white box, black box.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science

  • Experience (inclusive of academic, co-op, or internship) in embedded / mobile / Cloud software development or testing domain, API interfaces, Cloud Services, etc

  • Experience (inclusive of academic, co-op, or internship) with GenAI based tooling

  • Experience (inclusive of academic, co-op, or internship) with Microcontrollers, networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, WIN, MQTT, WiFi, Bluetooth

  • Experience (inclusive of academic, co-op, or internship) with testing tools

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Understanding of Software functionality as it pertains to mobile applications (Android & iOS) / embedded systems C#, Python, Java.

  • Understanding of building or implementing LLM Agents to automate multi-step software engineering tasks.

  • Basic understanding of software security vulnerabilities and how they apply to Cloud APIs and Mobile applications.
