We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will:
Technical delivery: Design, build, and deliver high-quality big data applications that create measurable business value.
Technical expertise: Tackle complex engineering challenges, optimise performance, and ensure solutions are scalable and resilient.
Quality control: Ensure data pipelines and platforms meet agreed quality standards, with robust automated testing and controls.
Technology product Ownership: Partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to shape the data product roadmap and deliver solutions aligned to organisational goals.
Process Improvement: Continuously improve engineering practices, tooling, and delivery processes to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and raise quality.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, supporting their growth and capability building.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Proven, hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Spark).
Strong knowledge of the CIB banking data domain.
Solid data analytics experience and skills.
Demonstrated track record of delivering complex data solutions within the banking industry.
Strong passion for technology, with a proactive approach to learning, experimentation, and innovation.
Ability to balance creative thinking with pragmatic, outcome-focused solutions to business and technology challenges.
Experience building or integrating GenAI applications/use cases.
DevOps experience (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, G3).
