Edwards Lifesciences is expanding its global technology capabilities with the launch of a new IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India. The Hub strengthens the technology foundation that supports our business worldwide, working in close partnership with teams across regions to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions at scale. Designed as a long-term investment, the Pune Hub will advance newer digital capabilities such as automation, data, AI, and cloud, and will include roles spanning end user services, application development, and enterprise platform teams. Together, these teams will help Edwards operate more efficiently and accelerate innovation in support of our mission of advancing patient care.

We’re a leading enterprise organization at the forefront of innovation, managing complex systems across multiple business units. As we continue to evolve our application strategy and setup our IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India, we’re seeking a Manager, IT Applications to serve as a key technical advisor and collaborator within our Enabling vertical. This role is pivotal in managing our ERP ecosystem, eliminating redundancies in our tooling ecosystem, and modernizing our ERP system to support scalable, efficient operations. How you’ll make an impact:

  • Lead project development teams through execution of best practices in software development, mentoring other team members. Plan projects and activities with accountability for successful completion within scope and ensure that project deliverables are consistent with architecture, quality, and security policies

  • Oversee the efforts to determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions

  • Partner closely with leadership to shape and execute enterprise-wide technical development strategies, focusing on streamlining redundant / customized code sets and tool sets while promoting modernization and integration across platforms

  • Lead the design and deployment of scalable technical solutions for the ERP ecosystems, including code optimization, reduction in customization, and AI-driven integrations, ensuring they are secure, performant, and adaptable to future needs

  • Manage defined set of business applications, technologies, or IT processes to ensure performance according to business needs, within end-to-end business processes, and IT standards and system performance (e.g., upgrades, functionality/capabilities, enhancements, security, validation and general maintenance)

  • Determine and lead the design of system specifications, standards, and programming: Provide technical guidance to team members and lead the improvement of operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures

  • Keeps abreast of technical innovation by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

  • Identify opportunities and lead the implementation of changes to IT Applications within end-to-end business processes to drive improvements including business partner satisfaction with operational support

What you’ll need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise-wide ERP systems, with a strong emphasis on technical / development expertise, and integrations in large-scale environments

  • 3 years of solid performance in an architect role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex / novel system implementations

  • Demonstrated track record in people management required. Ability to direct IT teams and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations

  • Proven successful project management leadership skills

  • Strong background and hands-on experience in JDE development tools (FDA, RDA, Business function, NER, Orchestrator components, BIP), JDE SDLC processes, and methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, with the ability to lead DevOps transformations and secure implementations (e.g., multi-factor authentication, zero-trust models)

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making

  • Must have experience in production support, troubleshooting, debugging, reading different types of logs (JAS, JDE, AIS etc.)

  • Must have good understanding of integrations like EDI, FTP, SQL based, REST API, BSSV

  • This role is not a remote position. It requires onsite presence at the Edwards IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India with an overlap during morning hours of Pacific Time Zone (Irvine, CA)

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Have good understanding of Sales & Distribution, Finance, Manufacturing business processes

  • Have good understanding of job scheduler, job queue, job processing

  • Certifications in related disciplines and architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF Enterprise Architect, COBIT, ITIL, CDMP, OCP)

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools like CoPilot, ChatGPT, Claude as well as workflow tools like Jira and Confluence. Expertise with any combination of these is welcome

  • 3 years of relevant industry experience (e.g., medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Extensive understanding of IT procedures while defining team operating standards and ensuring essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own discipline

  • Ability to work and excel within a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
