The Customer Success Team at Cadence is seeking a Lead Customer Service Engineer to join our Global CFD customer support team. This position is based in Pune, India.
The Lead Customer Service Engineer will provide technical support, training, sales support, and marketing support for the industry leading thermo-fluid analysis (CFD) software, Cradle CFD, developed by the Cadence’s System Design and Analysis organization. This position provides opportunities for exposure to a range of industrial applications, for developing skills in cutting edge engineering tools, to work alongside experienced mentors and collaborating with other Cadence departments, and thus offering aspiring engineers options to advance their careers into other functions like product management, software development, consulting, engineering solutions, marketing, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical advice via email, web communications, and phone.
Build and maintain a comprehensive technical knowledge base that serves as a key resource for customers and internal teams alike.
Document and report product issues, product limitations, and customer enhancement requests.
Drive product evolution and quality by providing feedback and collaborating with other departments and stakeholders.
Create and deliver training classes, technical seminars, and technical marketing material.
Research latest industry trends, continuously improve technical skills, and share knowledge within the organization.
Drive customer success by providing technical leadership in specialist areas, promoting industry best practices and partnering with Cadence’s global product development and engineering teams.
Collaborate with product sales teams to introduce Cadence’s CFD software and demonstrate the value to prospective customers as needed.
Participate in field marketing activities, not limited to delivering webinars, conference presentations and representing Cadence at trade shows as needed.
Conduct engineering and simulation service projects using Cadence’s CFD software as needed.
Work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, global organization.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering
3-5 years of recent professional experience in engineering using commercial CFD software – Fluent, Star-CCM+, PowerFlow, Numeca, Cradle CFD.
Experience performing fluid flow and heat transfer analysis using commercial CFD software
Experience with multiphysics (fluid-structure interaction or acoustic) analysis is a plus
Good general knowledge of CFD modeling workflows and CAE processes
Experience meshing and solving large modeling using HPC methods in the Linux environment
Availability to travel and conduct online training as required
High motivation and ability to complete tasks independently
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Technical/Functional Competencies
Industry experience, preferably in Automotive or Aerospace.
Experience with commercial CFD software, preferably Fluent, Star-CCM+, PowerFlow, Flowtherm or FlowEFD.
Good knowledge of Windows and Linux systems with python/C programing skills
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
