Position Overview
The Business Systems Development Functional Lead is a results-oriented IT professional with over 8 years of experience in business
systems development. This role is responsible for overseeing and guiding the entire software development lifecycle, collaborating with both
internal stakeholders and external clients to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions. The Functional Lead will
leverage expertise in application integration, API management, and middleware platforms to drive successful project delivery, and is expected
to mentor analysts and facilitate cross-functional teamwork. Strong communication skills and the ability to bridge the gap between technical
and non-technical audiences are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the software development lifecycle, utilizing methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.
• Analyze and optimize business processes to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
• Oversee application integration and API management to ensure seamless interoperability across systems.
• Manage projects using Jira and other industry-standard project management tools.
• Design and document functional requirements in collaboration with technical and business teams.
• Foster productive relationships with stakeholders and clients to understand and address business needs.
• Mentor and guide business analysts, facilitating effective teamwork across functional areas.
• Promote the adoption and effective use of middleware platforms in the application environment.
• Bridge communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
