Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. ("SEL") seeks professional, innovative and detailed individuals for our Lead Mechanical Engineer position located at our headquarters in Pullman, Washington.
The *Lead Mechanical Engineer *will utilize his or her knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and process engineering principles, practices, and philosophies to lead in assembly design, plastic and metal part design, tolerance studies, manufacturability/assembly design, component selection and specification, thermal analysis and design, and mechanical shock and vibration analysis. The incumbent will apply the principles of mechanical, electrical, and process engineering to: (1) lead in qualifying and monitoring component and custom part vendors; (2) generate and maintain accurate bills of materials; (3) provide accurate labor and material estimates; (4) review and support documentation, mechanical designs, and manufacturing process design; (5) write test plans, conduct design tests, and review results; (6) maintain current and accurate project notebooks; and (7) follow, measure, and improve company's engineering and R&D processes.
Salary Range: $117,900.00 - $124,900.00 per year.
