Available Title(s): 675G-YYCSNPS - Food Service Worker Lead Business Title: Food Service Worker Lead Employee Type: Classified Position Details: The Opportunity: As a Food Service Worker Lead at Southside Dining, you will play a key role in creating a clean, welcoming, and efficient environment for our guests and team. In this position, you will take pride in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and sanitation standards in your assigned areas. You will ensure equipment is used safely, cared for properly, and kept in top condition by following established guidelines. In this role, you will guide, support, and motivate student employees working in the dish room and pots and pans area. You will help set the tone for a productive, positive, and collaborative workspace where everyone feels valued and able to do their best work. Dining Services is a dynamic, ever-evolving operation-so you will need to bring a flexible mindset and a readiness to adapt to new trends, information, and guest needs. You will operate with the understanding that providing outstanding service means staying open to change and continually seeking ways to improve the guest experience. As operational needs shift, you may take on additional responsibilities or new tasks assigned by Dining Services management. Additional Information: This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $3,752 to $4,428 | Range 37 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Required Qualifications: • Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler's permit AND one year of experience in quantity or institutional food preparation AND serving, which includes six months experience directing the work of others; OR equivalent education/experience. • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Washington Food Handler's Permit within 14 days of employment. • Must be able to work: Sunday-Thursday, 12:00pm-8:30pm Preferred Qualifications: • Two to five years food service experience. • Multi-faceted food experience. • Experience leading and training employees. • General knowledge of commercial grade kitchen equipment use, safety, and maintenance.
