Position Details:

 

The Opportunity:

 

As the Disabled Student Center Coordinator for the Disabled Student Center (DSC), you will manage the daily functions of the Center. This includes events, programming and supporting Center goals. You will also collaborate with other units to build coalitions and create intersectional programming.

 

This position is imperative to support the three assistant coordinators (hourly student employees) who will manage student support and programming. The DSC has four focus areas: academics, life skills, disability exploration, and social. This position will be an integral part of ensuring success in these focus areas.

 

Additional Information:

 

This is a full-time (100% FTE), temporary position. This position is overtime eligible.

 

Temporary End Date:

 

This is a temporary position expected to end 1 year from hire. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.

 

Monthly Salary:

 

$3,750.85 - $5,397.56 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications

 

In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

 

• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office

 

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and positively in a diverse environment

 

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively

 

• Experience advising/counseling students

 

• Experience or knowledge of coordinating student services programs

 

• Experience analyzing, evaluating, using professional judgment and/or applying a comprehensive depth of knowledge of student issues
