As a DevOps Engineer, a typical day might include: * Designing, implementing, securing, and supporting cloud native and on-prem infrastructure. * Automating infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. * Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and performing capacity planning. * Collaborating with developers in IS and R&D to support SEL's mission of making electric power safer, more reliable, and more economical. * Identifying and mitigating risks in deployment and operational environments. * Creating and maintaining clear, thorough documentation for systems and processes. * Managing and executing infrastructure-related projects. This job might be for you if you: * Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. * Have 2+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or a related technical role. * Are proficient with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git, and Terraform or similar. * Have experience automating infrastructure and configuration management. * Embrace dynamic, fast-paced environments and adapt well to rapid change. * Have a desire for life-long learning to stay current with evolving technologies. * Can participate in an after-hours on-call rotation. * Practice absolute confidentiality and unquestionable ethics. * Have excellent customer service commitment. * Possess strong writing, documentation, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. * Technical background and knowledge of manufacturing and/or engineering processes.
