Position Details:
The Opportunity:
The Development Coordinator supports the fundraising and stewardship efforts of the Murrow College of Communication (MCC), including Northwest Public Broadcasting (NWPB). This position coordinates and implements annual stewardship, annual giving, and donor-related activities, serving as a liaison between MCC and the WSU Foundation. Responsibilities include managing donor stewardship programs, executing annual giving strategies, planning special events, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support. The role requires independent judgment, initiative, and a high level of confidentiality while collaborating with college leadership, faculty, and staff.
Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary:
$3,750.85 - $5,397.56 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience, which includes six (6) months of full-time experience in marketing, gift solicitation or public contact work with evidence of ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively orally and in writing and organize and execute assignments. A Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, development, or administrative support.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven record of demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word, including the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets, reports, and professional documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in higher education or nonprofit fundraising.
