Position Details:
The Opportunity:
As the Contracts Coordinator, you will serve as the subject matter expert on research contracting arrangements while providing specialized support to both the Support & Operations Contract Team and the Innovation & Entrepreneurship team within the Office of Research. You will assist the Support & Operations Contract Team through the preparation, review, and negotiation of complex funding agreements (e.g. industry-sponsored projects, FAR contracts, and international contracts) and non-monetary research contracts. Additionally, you will assist the Innovation & Entrepreneurship team through the review of option and license agreements and the monitoring of existing agreements for contractual compliance.
Additional Information:
This is a full, permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $4,508.70 - $5,637 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
• Ability to assess business and legal risk, make independent decisions based on sound judgment, and collaborate with other offices/officers to problem solve and address cross-cutting issues.
• Ability to interpret, explain, and apply complicated rules, regulations, and policies.
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Experience establishing priorities.
• Experience managing multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
• JD or Masters degree in a related field.
