Description
ConnextCare is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to lead and oversee all clinical operations across the organization. This executive leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance while advancing our mission to provide exceptional healthcare services.
The CCO will collaborate closely with providers, clinical staff, and senior leadership to drive quality improvement, optimize clinical performance, and support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight of clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal outcomes
Supervise clinical leadership team, including Director of Nursing, Director of SBHCs, and RN Manager of Specialty Services
Lead and manage the organization’s Quality Management Program, including QI/QA initiatives and performance monitoring
Oversee Infection Control, Risk Management, and Quality Improvement activities across the system
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation bodies (e.g., Joint Commission, HRSA, NCQA, IPRO)
Develop and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and best practices
Support value-based care initiatives and drive improvements tied to financial performance incentives
Lead Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) efforts and practice transformation initiatives
Monitor patient engagement and quality metrics, addressing concerns and implementing improvements
Oversee training, onboarding, and continuing education for clinical staff
Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning
Represent ConnextCare in community partnerships, committees, and external engagements
Promote organizational initiatives, including the Coleman initiative
Requirements
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
Master’s degree in Nursing or related field required
Minimum 5 years of clinical management experience, preferably in outpatient or medical practice settings
Strong knowledge of quality management, infection control, and risk management
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated leadership ability with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality
