Job Title: Foreman / Lead Electrician
Job Description
This role performs electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a wide range of industrial and commercial projects. You will complete lighting upgrades, motor control installations, and the installation of network cabling, fire alarm systems, and security systems. The work spans design-build projects, remodels, and new construction, including offices, schools, dental offices, and light to heavy industrial facilities. You will at times work independently and at other times as part of a team, with any foreman or lead responsibilities discussed in advance.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on industrial and commercial projects to ensure safe and reliable operation of systems.
Complete lighting upgrades, including removal of existing fixtures, installation of new lighting, and verification of proper operation.
Install and commission motor controls, including wiring, terminations, and functional testing.
Install network cabling, including routing, pulling, terminating, and labeling cable runs.
Install fire alarm systems and security systems in accordance with applicable codes and project specifications.
Work on design-build projects, contributing to practical installation approaches and problem-solving in the field.
Support electrical work on remodels and new construction projects such as offices, schools, dental offices, and industrial facilities.
Execute vertical construction projects with significant commercial service work, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to plans.
Read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings to plan and execute installations from point A to point B.
Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring and related equipment in a variety of commercial and industrial settings.
Measure, bend, and install conduit, including performing precise conduit bending and routing for clean and code-compliant installations.
Pull wire and cable through conduit and raceways, ensuring correct sizing, labeling, and terminations.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using critical thinking and practical diagnostic methods to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
Work proactively with work laid out in advance, planning tasks and materials needed to complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Collaborate effectively with team members on larger projects while also working independently when required.
Follow all relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures on every jobsite.
Remain flexible to follow work to different jobsites and, when needed, support overnight or out-of-area jobs as required by the project.
Essential Skills
Colorado journeyman electrician license.
Approximately 4–5 years of experience working as a Journeyman electrician, with 8 years in the electrical trade preferred.
Strong hands-on experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction.
Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
Skilled in electrical wiring installation and repair for commercial and industrial applications.
Ability to install, bend, and route conduit accurately, including conduit bending and pulling wire.
Experience with installation of lighting systems, including upgrades and retrofits.
Experience with motor controls installation and wiring.
Experience with network cabling installation, including pulling and terminating cables.
Experience installing fire alarm systems and security systems.
Proactive, self-starting work style with strong critical thinking skills to move work from point A to point B.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team.
Willingness and ability to work across a wide geographic area as required by project locations.
A license from a reciprocal state alone is not sufficient; valid Colorado licensure is required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Formal apprentice training, including classroom instruction and certifications, is a significant plus.
Experience in union environments is acceptable, provided there is flexibility to work in the current structure.
Openness to following the work to different locations and supporting overnight jobs is a strong plus, though not mandatory.
Experience working on vertical commercial construction projects, including offices, schools, dental offices, and industrial facilities.
Comfort working on a variety of commercial service tasks within active facilities.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with project teams and stakeholders.
Solid understanding of applicable electrical codes and industry best practices.

Work Environment
You work in a field-based environment covering a wide geographic area, with jobsites ranging from northern Colorado Springs to the New Mexico border, the Kansas border, and the Continental Divide. Projects focus on commercial and industrial work only, with no residential assignments while on contract. Typical jobs include new offices, schools, dental offices, and light to heavy industrial facilities, with very limited hospital or medical work. All construction is vertical, with no horizontal construction. You spend most of your time on active jobsites performing installations, troubleshooting, and service work. After a successful review period, you use a company truck and fuel card to travel between sites. Hours and shifts can vary based on project needs, and there may be opportunities to support overnight or out-of-area jobs. The environment is hands-on, tools- and equipment-intensive, and best suited to someone comfortable working both independently and as part of a field crew.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pueblo, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00/hr.
