Joinour team as an Engineering Technician, where you will play a vital role inensuring the smooth operation of our plant. Under the guidance of theMaintenance Manager, you will conduct maintenance activities that are safe,reliable, and efficient, all while adhering to applicable laws and regulations.Imagine being at the forefront of mechanical improvements, troubleshootingequipment, and implementing safe working practices that contribute to ourmission of operational excellence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Youwill perform repair and maintenance work by following blueprint sketches,technical manuals, and established procedures.
Identifymechanical design issues and recommend modifications to enhance machineryperformance.
Maintainthe maintenance management system, logging problems, repairs, and downtimeto ensure transparency and efficiency.
Youwill implement safety and environmental regulations, proactivelyidentifying hazards and recommending necessary repairs.
Operatelifting equipment and perform power plant rigging to safely handle heavymachinery and materials.
Trainnew hires and provide refresher training on safety and mechanicalmaintenance, while also pursuing your own professional development.
Assistin investigating plant incidents and provide valuable input for reportsand follow-up plans.
Write,review, and revise maintenance procedures to ensure they are up-to-dateand effective.
Troubleshootequipment and systems, performing corrective actions and failure analysisto resolve malfunctions.
Collaboratewith outside contractors during overhauls and other plant work to ensureseamless operations.
What You Bring
Youpossess a high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to read,write, and speak in English, and perform basic mathematical computations.An associate degree or certification in mechanical maintenance ispreferred.
Youhave five years of industry or military experience, including completionof a mechanic apprenticeship in a power plant environment.
Proficientin computer skills, particularly with Windows-based programs likeMicrosoft Excel, Word, Project, and PeopleSoft.
Youcan read and understand P&IDs, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
Youare capable of passing respirator fit tests to use respiratory protectiveequipment as needed.
Knowledgeablein troubleshooting techniques and possess strong verbal and writtencommunication skills.
Demonstratedexpertise in at least four of the following areas: pipefitting, welding,machining, rigging, rotating machine repair, fabrication, machinealignment, piping schematics, and mechanical drawings.
